Recently, the Waqf Amendment Bill may be presented on april 2. the central government is preparing to introduce the bill in the current lok sabha session, which will continue until april 4. meanwhile, on the occasion of Eid, millions of muslims across the country wore the black armbands while offering the prayers to protest against the waqf amendment bill. in response, uttar pradesh chief minister yogi adityanath strongly criticized those opposing the amendment bill and also raised some question upon those people.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath questioned those protesting against the Waqf Amendment Bill, asking if the waqf board has truly contributed to welfare. In the interview he also raised the question on waqf bill. where he said, “i want to ask those creating an uproar-has the waqf board done any welfare work? forget everything else, has it even benefited muslims?”. In his statement he further added, that waqf has become a center of personal interests and is often misused to illegally occupy government land. it has turned into a tool for grabbing the public property. reforms are the need of the hour, and every reform faces the opposition.

Reforms are Necessary

During an interview, CM Yogi Adityanath Stated that i work as a citizen, i do not consider myself very special. as a citizen, i fulfil my constitutional responsibilities. for me, the nation comes first. if my country is safe my faith is also safe, and when faith is secure it paves the way for welfare. Reforms are the need of the hour. In the recent interview, CM Yogi also stated that reforms are necessary part of the time, and they are important. Where on the waqf bill amendment, he stated that “every good work faces opposition. similarly, there is an uproar over the waqf amendment bill as well.
