Emraan Hashmi told in Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast that 11 years ago when his son was 4 years old, he suddenly fell ill and doctors said that he has cancer. He said that our life changed in a few hours and we fought cancer for 5 years. He said that this was the most difficult phase of our life, from which it was not at all easy to recover. Emraan said that his son fell ill in January 2014, when his son’s health suddenly deteriorated while eating pizza and blood came out from his urine and when he was taken to the doctor, he was told that he had cancer and he would have to undergo surgery. Recalling that difficult phase, Emraan said that I do not want to remember that moment, it was a very difficult phase.

Emraan Hashmi has also written a book about his experience after his son got cancer, which he told about in the show, he said that I have written this book so that I can write my experiences in it and share it with other parents so that I can help people save themselves from a terrible disease like cancer. He said that my son is now 15 years old but still I don’t think he will want to read this book nor can I read it because it is so painful that I cannot dare to go back to that time.
