 In just a few hours, it will be decided who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Voting will begin at 7 AM tomorrow across all 70 seats, and Delhi’s 1.55 crore voters will choose the new CM. Preparations for the election are complete, and the deployment of police and security forces has already begun.

19,000 Home Guard Personnel on Election Duty

Before voting, Delhi has been turned into a fortress. Last night, Delhi Police conducted flag marches in sensitive areas. Over 35,000 police officers have been deployed for duty during the election, along with 220 companies of Central Reserve Forces for security throughout the process. Additionally, 19,000 Home Guard personnel will also be on election duty. Since the campaigning ended yesterday evening, orders were given for outsiders to leave Delhi. DCPs of each district are leading flag marches, and many illegal vehicles have been seized.

Launch of Queue Management System App

This time, there are 1.56 crore voters for the 70 Delhi Assembly seats, including 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women, and 1,267 third-gender voters, who will vote at 13,766 polling booths. Additionally, 733 polling centers have been set up for disabled voters. To encourage maximum voter turnout, the Election Commission has launched a Queue Management System app, which allows voters to check the crowd levels at their polling booths.

Three-Way Battle in Delhi

This time, Delhi is witnessing a tough competition between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP, with Congress’s strong presence making it a three-way contest. On the final day of campaigning, all three parties sent their big leaders to the field. For BJP, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, and several Chief Ministers campaigned. The party held 22 roadshows and rallies in Delhi. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal held three rallies in CM Atishi’s constituency. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi conducted a roadshow in Kalkaji and Kasturba Nagar.
