New Delhi: The issue of the theft of offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is currently escalating, pitting the government against the opposition. CM Yogi Adityanath himself has launched a scathing attack on the opposition. He detailed the government’s achievements over the past nine years and also clearly addressed the matter of the theft of offerings at the Ram Temple.

CM Yogi remarked that those who previously imposed bans on the Kanwar Yatra, Ram Navami processions, and Durga Puja pandals are the ones speaking about faith today. He further noted that those who ordered firing on Ram devotees in Ayodhya are now talking about faith. He added that those who attempted to vitiate the atmosphere by having Namaz offered on the steps of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi temple are now discussing faith.

SP Government Looted the State – Yogi

On Wednesday, CM Yogi Adityanath stated that they used to file affidavits in the Supreme Court claiming that Ram and Vishnu do not exist. Yogi pointed out that the very people who fielded lawyers in the Supreme Court and tried every possible means to obstruct the construction of the Ram Temple are now speaking about faith.

For those who looted the national exchequer and created an identity crisis for the country, the theft of offerings at the Ayodhya Ram Temple has suddenly become a significant issue; yet, they never speak of their own acts of plunder. The CM further asked what scams did not take place, whether under the Congress government at the Centre or the SP government in UP. The incident in Ayodhya hurts the sentiments of us all, of Ram devotees like us. At the Trust’s request, the state government constituted an SIT.

Government Has No Right to Interfere

CM Yogi stated that this is an independent Trust, and the government has no right to interfere in its affairs. The Trust made a request, and I constituted the SIT. As soon as the SIT report was received, the Trust initiated action. Six individuals were caught on camera committing the theft, and they were arrested. Two individuals involved in the matter were arrested. Two additional resignations were submitted on moral grounds. How is it justified to malign Ayodhya and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, or to attack the Hindu faith, over this issue?

Opposition Used to Attack Faith

He stated that when these people were in power, they used to attack faith. They spread anarchy and engaged in extreme hooliganism, constantly acting in ways that hurt religious sentiments. He noted that today, these centres of faith in UP are becoming models for the country, and the state is advancing with this new identity. CM Yogi remarked that in Ayodhya, faith has been honoured, and the economy is also growing.
