Jammu Kashmir’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spoke about talks with pakistan saying, “we have always supported dialogue with pakistan. i have always said that creating a suitable atmosphere for talks is not just india’s responsibility. Pakistan also needs to understand its role and help in building that atmosphere. if attacks like the one in pahalgam continue, then people like us, who support peace and dialogue, will become weaker. “He emphasized that lasting peace can only be achieved when both the sides work together. abdullah highlighted that while india has often taken the first step towards talks, pakistan must also show seriousness by stopping violence and supporting peace efforts. he warned that repeated terror attacks make it difficult to convince people about the benefits of dialogue. in such an environment, the demand for tough action increases and voices supporting peaceful solutions lose strength. peaceful dialogue needs the commitment from both of the countries.
