Chaitra Navratri 2025: Chaitra Navratri has started from today i.e. Sunday, March 30, 2025. On this day, worshiping the nine forms of the mother has special significance. Worshiping the mother in the auspicious time brings the grace and blessings of the mother. This time Navratri will be of 8 days instead of 9 days.
Chaitra Navratri 2025 begins on the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha and ends on the day of Navami. This year Navratri will start from March 30 and will continue till April 6. During this time all the devotees will offer special prayers to the Mother Goddess and receive the blessings of the Mother Goddess.
Navratri is celebrated four times a year
Chaitra Navratri 2025 is starting from March 30 this year, Navratri is celebrated four times a year in which Navratri comes in the months of Chaitra, Aashadha, Ashwin and Magh, in our Hindu religion, Navratri of Chaitra and Navratri of Ashwin have special significance, Navratri of Aashadha and Magh is not celebrated by people because Tantra Sadhna is done in it, hence it has no special significance.
In Navratri, nine forms of the goddess are worshiped
In these nine days of Chaitra Navratri 2025, nine forms of the goddess are worshiped. Ghatasthapana is done with due rituals and every day different forms of the goddess are worshiped and their favorite offerings are offered to them and Navratri ends after performing Kanya Bhojan and Havan on the ninth day.

Bhog to Maa in Navratri
different bhogs should be offered to different forms of Maa in the nine days of Chaitra Navratri 2025, let’s know about it-
- On the first day, Goddess Shailputri is worshipped. On this day, white colored food should be offered to the Goddess. Sweets made from milk, ghee, sugar etc. should be offered as Prasad.
- The second day of Chaitra Navratri is the day of Goddess Brahmacharini. On this day, Goddess Brahmacharini is specially worshipped and sugar or jaggery is offered to the Goddess or food made from jaggery is offered to the Goddess.
- On the third day, Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped. Milk or dry fruit is offered to the Goddess on this day.
- The fourth day is the day of Goddess Kushmanda. Malpua is offered to Goddess Kushmanda on this day.
- The fifth day of Navratri is dedicated to Skandamata. On this day, worshipping Skandamata and offering bananas to the Goddess is considered auspicious. This brings blessings from the Goddess.
- The sixth day of Navratri is considered the day of Katyayani Devi. Offering honey and sweet betel leaf to the Goddess on this day pleases the Goddess and she grants the desired result.
- The seventh day of Navratri is considered the day of Kaalratri. It is said that offering jaggery to the Goddess on this day pleases the Goddess.
- On the eighth day of Navratri, coconut and kheer-puri are offered. The eighth day of Navratri is the day of Maa Gauri. Kanya Bhoj is also organized on this day.
- On the ninth day of Navratri, Siddhidatri Mata is worshipped and gram and halwa should be offered to the Goddess.
