BJP RJD controversy
Amit Malviya, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has once again targeted the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), describing it as “synonymous with unclean thinking.”
Malviya referenced a video in a post on X, allegedly showing a man verbally assaulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother during a rally where RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was speaking.

He highlighted that the Prime Minister’s late mother has frequently been targeted in Sita Maiya, Bihar, claiming that RJD and Congress leaders have encouraged such behavior through official channels. Malviya wrote in Hindi on X, “Yesterday, once again, RJD workers shouted abusive language against the Prime Minister’s mother in front of Tejashwi Yadav, and Lalu’s son remained silent.”
He added, “What is achieved by insulting the Prime Minister’s mother? Politics descending to this level is disheartening. RJD is linked to dirty thinking. Bihar will remain disgraced as long as this party holds power there.”
The remarks come amid a controversy that began in August, when a man was detained in Darbhanga for using derogatory language against Prime Minister Modi and his mother at a Congress event. The BJP has consistently demanded that opposition parties be held accountable.

RJD Responds
RJD MLA for Mahua, Dr. Mukesh Roushan, denied the allegations, stating that no party member insulted the Prime Minister.
He added on social media, “No RJD employee or anyone else called the Prime Minister an insulting name. Tejashwi Yadav is not audible in the video released by BJP. The video has been altered as part of a conspiracy to tarnish RJD.”
Background
The controversy arose after a video purportedly showing a man making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Modi’s mother surfaced during Tejashwi Yadav’s “Bihar Adhikar Yatra” in Samastipur, Bihar, sparking debate over the alleged abuses.
