The party has launched a major grassroots campaign to gather feedback from its current MLAs before distributing tickets. According to reports, the BJP has initiated a feedback and survey process in all 403 assembly seats in the state. The BJP wants to assess the work the current MLAs have done for the people while in office, how they handle the public, their influence, and whether the local public is happy or unhappy. Furthermore, some reports claim that feedback from grassroots workers associated with the RSS is also crucial, and tickets will be awarded based on that feedback. This means the BJP is now directly assessing the work each MLA has accomplished and their shortcomings.
According to reports, the party is gathering information from various levels and attempting to gather public feedback in various ways. Aspects such as the opinions of organization workers and the local influence of potential candidates are being assessed. Reports have emerged that survey agencies are gathering public opinion on MLAs and key contenders in the Moradabad division. Similar surveys are being conducted at various locations, gathering feedback from the public. Meanwhile, feedback from the RSS’s grassroots network has also become important. It is being said that if the RSS’s report is negative, many candidates’ tickets may be cancelled.
This exercise is also considered important for the BJP because the party did not achieve the expected results in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. In light of this, the BJP is now exerting its full strength and working on every front to benefit the party in the upcoming elections.
