BJP leader Nitin Navin shared a significant message on the social media platform X. He stated that the party accepts the mandate delivered in the three assembly by-elections. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of the Manjalpur assembly constituency in Gujarat for placing their trust in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He extended warm congratulations to all the dedicated BJP workers and office-bearers for this victory. Nitin Navin further remarked that the party did not receive the expected mandate in Bankipur and Datia. He assured that the party would deeply introspect on the election results in these two constituencies and, with renewed energy and resolve, continue working among the people to further strengthen their trust.
Lotus Blooms Again in Manjalpur
The BJP’s ‘lotus’ bloomed once again in the by-election for Gujarat’s Manjalpur assembly seat. The BJP’s Satendrabhai Patel secured a massive victory here, garnering 55,481 votes. Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Rabari came in second with 24,851 votes. Overall, Satendrabhai Patel defeated the Congress candidate by a margin of 30,630 votes.
BJP Loses Bankipur Assembly Seat
The results of the by-election for the Bankipur assembly seat in Bihar were the most surprising. Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, achieved a resounding victory here, securing 64,151 votes. BJP’s Neeraj Kumar finished second, securing 44,827 votes. Prashant Kishor defeated him by a margin of 19,324 votes.
The Bankipur Assembly by-election drew the most attention, as the seat had previously been held by BJP’s Nitin Navin; the by-election was necessitated by his resignation, making his political reputation a key factor in the contest.
The BJP lost in Datia as well.
The Datia seat in Madhya Pradesh remained a focal point throughout the by-election. Congress’s Ghanshyam Singh emerged victorious here, securing a total of 66,757 votes. BJP’s Ashutosh Tiwari came in second with 60,741 votes. The Congress candidate defeated the BJP candidate by a margin of 6,016 votes.
