Now you can easily add your name to the voter list. Previously, to add your name to the voter list, you had to submit a declaration along with Form 6, but now you won’t need to submit any additional declaration. So, if you’re preparing to enroll yourself in the voter list, this is a big relief for you. If you’re a new voter and are trying to enroll yourself, the process has become much easier than before. Now, you simply fill out Form 6; you won’t need to submit any declaration along with it. Previously, numerous documents were required as proof, and a separate declaration was also required along with Form 6. However, the Election Commission has made a significant change and simplified the process.

Use of Form 6

Form 6 is primarily used for Indian citizens who wish to enroll themselves in the voter list for the first time, meaning those who became eligible to vote this year. To enroll in the voter list, they had to submit a declaration along with the form, but now this will no longer be necessary.

Previously, during voter registration, people had to carry numerous documents related to the application and necessary declarations, but now there is no need for this.

Who will benefit?

This is a very good and easy facility for those registering their names for the first time, including young people and other eligible citizens. So, if you also want to be included in the voter list, your name will now be included directly.

Online and offline application facilities available

This facility is available to voters in both modes. If you are applying for registration, you can apply online on the Commission’s official portal and through available online services. While applying online, you have to fill the form completely and provide all the required information and scan the correct documents and upload them. Now even BLOs will go door to door to provide information.
