Now you will not need to go to Aadhar Seva Kendra to get your Aadhar card updated nor will you have to stand in long lines. Now you will be able to update your Aadhar card easily online from home. Along with this, Aadhar update for children will be done for free.
New rules for Aadhaar Card Update

Online Aadhaar Update – Now it has become easier for you to update your Aadhaar Card in the Aadhar Card Update New Rule. Earlier, to make corrections in your name, address, date of birth or mobile number in your Aadhaar Card, you had to go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra and after that you could get your Aadhaar Card updated, but now from 1st November this entire process will be online.
After this the information given by you will be verified automatically with the help of PAN Card, Passport, Driving License or Ration Card. Now after this the process of updating the Aadhaar Card will become faster and safer and you will not have to stand in queues for hours.

Linking with Aadhaar has become mandatory by 31 December 2025 – In the Aadhar Card Update New Rules, UIDAI has made it mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar card by changing the rules of Aadhar card. Now it will be mandatory for you to link your PAN with Aadhaar by 31 December 2025, otherwise your PAN will become inactive from 1 January 2026, after this you will not be able to use PAN in any transaction and if you are an income tax payer then you will not be able to file income tax return.
KYC- After the Aadhar Card Update New Rules, it will now be easier to do KYC. To complete the KYC process, you can complete the KYC process through Aadhar OTP verification, video KYC or face to face verification.
Update in fee structure – After the Aadhaar Card Update New Rules, the fee structure has also been updated. Now you will have to pay a fee of Rs 75 for updating name, address, mobile number, whereas biometric update has been made free for children between 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years. Apart from this, a fee of Rs 125 will have to be paid for updating fingerprint iris scan or photo. Online document update will be free till 14 June 2026.

After this if you go to the public service center and get it updated, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 75. A fee of Rs 40 will have to be paid for reprinting the Aadhar card and for availing home enrolment service, a fee of Rs 700 will be charged for the first person and Rs 350 for each additional person at this address.
