Aadhar Card Free Update: If your Aadhar card is 10 years old and you have not updated it, then the last date to update it for free is 14 June 2025. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has fixed the last date for updating the Aadhar card. If you update your Aadhar card by this last date, then you will not have to pay any fee for it, but if you update your Aadhar card after the last date, then you may have to pay a charge for it. The deadline to update it is ending on June 14, within which you should update your Aadhar card.
It is necessary to update 10 year old Aadhar card
The deadline for Aadhar Card Free Update has been extended once again. Those whose Aadhar cards are more than 10 years old and have not updated it even once, the government gave them several deadlines to get it updated and after that it was extended further. Now this date has been extended further to 14 June 2025. If you have not updated your Aadhar card yet, then you can update your Aadhar card by visiting its official website, if you update it after this deadline then you will have to pay extra charge for it.
Documents required for Aadhar Card Free Update
You must have some essential documents to update Aadhar Card for free, let’s know the list of these documents which you will need to update Aadhar Card.
Identity Certificate – You can use PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Passport, Driving License, Ration Card or any government identity card as identity proof.
Address Proof – For proof of address, you can use passport, bank passbook or statement, driving license, voter ID card, utility bill, ration card or any government document.
Relationship Proof – For proof of relationship, you can submit birth certificate, photocopy of Aadhar card of the head of the family, marriage certificate.
Date of Birth Certificate -For date of birth proof, you can give birth certificate, board exam certificate or passport etc.
How to Aadhar Card Free Update
- To update Aadhar Card Free, first go to myaadhar.uidai.gov.in.
- After this, click on the login button and enter your Aadhar card number.
- After which you enter the captcha to get OTP.
- Now verify the OTP and login. After this you can see what updates are there in your Aadhar card, in which you can see whether your current address and identity proof are updated or not.
- If your documents are not updated, then click on the option of document update.
- After this, select the document which you want to update. After this, upload the relevant document in it and submit it.
- Now you will be given a service request number with the help of which you can see whether your document has been updated or not.
