Vietnam-based electric vehicle company VinFast has announced its plans to launch several new vehicles in India to meet the needs of different types of customers. The company is focusing on strengthening its presence in the fast-growing Indian EV market. As part of this strategy, VinFast has introduced its new premium 7-seater electric MPV, the VF MPV 7, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 24.49 lakh.

Speaking at the launch event, Tapan Ghosh said that the VF MPV 7 marks the company’s entry into a new vehicle segment in India. He added that the launch reflects VinFast’s long-term commitment to the Indian market and its plans to offer modern electric mobility solutions for Indian families. The company aims to attract customers by bringing more advanced and feature-rich EV models in the coming years.

At present, VinFast has around 50 outlets and service centres in the country and aims to increase the number to 75 showrooms by the end of 2026. The company is now focusing not only on metro cities but also on expanding into smaller towns and emerging markets. VinFast vehicles for India are being locally assembled at the company’s plant in Thoothukudi, supporting its long-term growth plans in the country.

VinfFast’s Strategy to expand its products in the Market

VinFast is steadily expanding its product lineup in India as it looks to strengthen its position in the growing electric vehicle market. The company currently sells three EV models in the country, including the VF 6, VF 7, and the recently launched VF MPV 7. With rising demand for affordable and premium electric cars, VinFast is expected to introduce four more models in India this year. According to reports, some of the upcoming models could be priced below Rs 10 lakh, helping the company target budget-conscious buyers and first-time EV customers in smaller cities as well as metro markets.
