On Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi Unit Chief, Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the Bhartiya Janta Party of mixing politics with religion. he claimed that BJP has asked durga Puja organizers to place the prime minister narendra modi’s photo beside the idol of goddess durga. bhardwaj said this act was an attempt to politicize people’s faith. speaking a press conference, he explained that delhi has a large bengali community. Every year, the community organizes grand durga puja celebrations in different parts of the city, including the chittaranjan park, rohini, dwarka and greater kailash. these events are important cultural and religious occasions for the people. according to him, Such festivals are about devotion and community spirit, not political agendas. he also urged that religious sentiments should be respected and kept away from politics. Saurabh Bhardwaj stressed that faith should unite people, not be used for the political advantage.
Saurabh Bhardwaj further said that Durga Puja Committees face many challenges while organizing these celebrations. Where he explained that committees need permissions from several departments to hold the events smoothly. however, the process has become diffiult and organizes are not getting the proper support. he also accused the administration of creating hurdles instead of helping. Saurabh bhardwaj also claimed that chief minister rekha gupta has given instructions to place the photograhs of prime ministers narendra modi during the durga puja. where he criticized this move sayin that no chief minister in the past ever directed such an order. he also pointed out that many prime ministers have served India before modi, yet their photos were never forced to be placed alongside the idol of goddess durga. according to him, this is a clear example of using religious festivals for political promotion, which should not be allowed in a secular and diverse society.
BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor Criticized Aam Aadmi Party
According to the recent reports, Responding to the saurabh bhardwaj’s allegations delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen shankar kapoor strongly criticized the aam aadmi party. he said that aap leaders including Saurabh Bhardawaj are so afraid of prime minister narendra modi’s popularity that they lose their balance even when his name is mentioned. he also released pictures of large hoardings of former chief minister arvind kejriwal displayed at chatth puja sites. where he questioned that why is was acceptable to put up the images of kejriwal during the festivals but wrong if BJP Leaders photos are displayed now. he said tha aam aadmi party are showing its double standards.
