The Defense Public relations officer said, after the devastating landslide in khirgarj dharali area of uttarakhand, colonel harshvardhan the commanding officer of the 14th RAJRIF, along with 150 soldiers is actively involved in important rescue and relief work. Even though their unit base has been badly damages and 11 soldiers are feared missing the team is working with strong determination. so far, 20 people have been rescued. meanwhile, more rescue teams are being sent to help with the ongoing efforts. According to the recent reports, on the cloudburst incident in uttarkashi SDRF Commander said as soon as we received the information three SDRF teams reached the spot. around 70-80 people have been rescued and moved to safe location in gangotri. another paramedics teams and dog squad with advanced rescue equipment will also reach the site soon. A total of 80-85 sdrf personnel will arrive by late night or early morning. the resuce and search operation by the SDRF is continuing at a war footing. The teams are working quickly and with the full effort to save lives and help those affected by this natural disaster.
