Terrorists Behind Pahalgam Attack were not caught, Says Mallikarjun Kharge

The issue of the Pahalgam terrorist attack was strongly raised in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge asked tough questions to the government about the attack that happened on april 22, he demanded a discussion under rule 267 and said that the terrorists involved in the pahalgam attack have neither been caught not killed yet. Referring to a statement by the lieutenant governor of jammu and Kashmir, he accused the government of an intelligence failure. The congress president said that even the LG admitted there was an intelligence failure, and that the government should have informed them about it.

Mallikarjun Kahrge also criticized the government over a statement made by former U.S. President Donald trump. He said that trump claimed 24 times that his intervention stopped a war between india and Pakistan, which is insulting for the country. Kharge added that after the government shared information about the “Operation Sindoor” with the world and the people of india, they should also inform parliament property. In response to kharge’s demand, leader of the house JP Nadda said that it should not appear as if the government is avoiding a discussion and has proposed to allocate time for it in the business advisory committee.

The congress president added that parliament and the people of the country deserve to be properly informed about such serious matters. He urged the government to share accurate details and not keep the house in the dark regarding national security issues like the pahalgam attack. in response, JP Nadda said, that the government is fully ready for the discussion on the terrorist attack that happened in the pahalgam. he also clarified, that it is not like that the government is avoiding this issue but the government will discuss this.
