Union Minister Nitin Gadkari gave this information on Wednesday, he said that the government will issue an annual pass for 1 year for Rs 3000 for private vehicles, so that private vehicle owners will now be able to travel tension-free on the National Highway, with the help of this Fastag, 200 trips in a year or 1 year will be able to travel uninterrupted.

How to get Fastag?
To get Fastag Annual Pass, a link will be provided on Highway Yatra App and NHAI / MoRTH’s official website, from where you can activate and renew this pass, which will make this process more simple. This will avoid the problems of toll plazas within a radius of 60 kilometers, now passengers will not have to bother to pay toll again and again and they will be able to travel uninterrupted for 200 trips or 1 year.
Rules for those who do not travel daily
Apart from Fastag Annual Pass, the facility of toll payment is also being given to those who do not travel daily and only use the highway occasionally, for such people, ₹50 will have to be paid for every 100 kms, the benefit of this will be that those people who travel less and will have to pay only for the amount they travel.
For whom is Fastag Annual Pass beneficial?
Fastag Annual Pass is more beneficial for those people who use National Highway Monthly Pass. Currently, for the monthly pass they have to pay Rs 340 per month or Rs 4080 annually. Now, after the new scheme, private vehicle owners will be able to avail the facility of 200 journeys for a year on an annual pass of ₹3000.
Now, they will not have to stand in long toll queues. Earlier, standing for long hours resulted in more consumption of petrol and diesel and also resulted in loss of time. They will be able to avoid all these things.
