Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for his visit to France. Before departing for Paris, he said that India is committed to strengthening its strategic partnerships with both France and the United States.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his desire to further strengthen India’s strategic partnership with France and the United States before leaving for his visit to Paris. In his statement before departure, he said, “I will be visiting France from February 10 to 12 at the invitation of President Macron. I look forward to co-chairing the AI Action Summit in Paris, which will bring together world leaders and global tech CEOs. At this summit, we will exchange ideas on promoting innovation and the use of AI technology in an inclusive, safe, and reliable manner for the greater public good.” PM Modi’s visit aims to enhance cooperation between India, France, and other global partners in emerging technologies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his visit will provide an opportunity to review progress on the Horizon 2047 Roadmap for the India-France strategic partnership with his friend, President Macron. He will also visit the historic French city of Marseille to inaugurate India’s first consulate in France. Additionally, he will tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, which focuses on using energy for global welfare. India is a member of this multinational project along with France and other partner nations.
PM to Pay Tribute to Indian Soldiers
During his visit, PM Modi will also pay tribute at the Mazargues War Cemetery in France, honoring Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War I and World War II.
PM Modi to Visit the US After France
After completing his visit to France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to the United States for a two-day visit at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. PM Modi said, “I look forward to meeting my friend, President Trump. This will be our first meeting after his historic election victory and inauguration in January. I have fond memories of working together during his first term to build a strong and comprehensive global strategic partnership between India and the US.”
PM Modi added that this visit will provide an opportunity to build on past successes and develop an agenda to further strengthen cooperation in technology, trade, defense, energy, and supply chain resilience.
