Delhi Election Nears, BJP Confident of Victory

With the election date in Delhi approaching, the campaign noise has now settled. Amid this, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a press conference. Speaking at the event, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that the public’s decision after a long election campaign will be visible on February 5. He claimed that the people of Delhi are showing their support for the BJP.

Sachdeva criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, accusing it of misgovernance and corruption. He stated that this time, BJP focused its campaign on the central government’s schemes, and the public has backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work and leadership. He further added that slum dwellers have emerged as BJP’s strength, and the public mood indicates that the lotus (BJP’s symbol) will bloom in Delhi.

Delhi Needs a Government of Cooperation, Not Conflict: BJP

At the press conference, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari said that Delhi will choose a government that works with coordination and cooperation, not one that thrives on conflicts. He remarked that people are now ready to free themselves from the “thug leader.” He further stated that Delhi will support those who promote “Khelo India” (Play India), not those who encourage “Peelo India” (Drink India). He emphasized that the city will stand with those who say “We won’t let the nation bow down,” not with those who refuse to stop drinking. He urged people to give BJP a chance to govern for five years.

Kejriwal’s Ego Won’t Last: Bansuri Swaraj

BJP leader Bansuri Swaraj said that with the election campaign ending, it is now time for the people to make their impact felt. She urged voters to turn out in large numbers on February 5 and press the lotus symbol to ensure Delhi moves forward on the path of development. She promised that, just like in Madhya Pradesh, financial assistance will be provided in Delhi. She also announced that LPG cylinders will be available for ₹500, with free cylinders on Holi and Diwali. Additionally, students preparing for competitive exams will receive support.

Taking a sharp dig at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, she said, “Even Ravan’s arrogance did not last; Kejriwal is no different.” She claimed that Kejriwal has repeatedly lied, and his recent allegation that Haryana is poisoning Delhi’s water was the final nail in the coffin.

People Have Made Up Their Minds: Ramvir Singh Bidhuri

BJP leader Ramvir Singh Bidhuri stated that the people of Delhi have decided that they do not want a government of extravagance or corruption. He said, “Delhi no longer wants a government that lives in palaces or is involved in liquor scams.”
