Last December, during the winter session, Raghav raised his voice against the high food prices at airports, saying passengers were being forced to buy expensive meals. He strongly expressed his concerns about the issue. Recently, a new flight passenger café was opened at Kolkata Airport.
Affordable Tea and Coffee Prices
The café has kept food and drink prices quite low for passengers. Parineeti Chopra recently shared a video celebrating this initiative and praised Raghav Chadha. In the video, she wrote, “I feel so proud of you. You are a true leader and capable of solving real issues. Expensive food and drinks at airports cause a lot of trouble for people. But your voice raised awareness about this, and now things are starting to change. Affordable food and drinks are now available at the airport.”
Now Tea Available for Just 10 Rupees at the Airport
Last December, during the winter session, Raghav Chadha raised concerns about the high prices of items at airports. Now, a restaurant called “Udaan Yatri Café” has opened at Kolkata Airport. This café is offering tea for just 10 rupees, water bottles for 10 rupees, and samosas and coffee for 20 rupees. These are the lowest prices for food and drinks available at the airport. Aviation Minister Ram Manohar Naidu Kinjarapu also shared a post on X about this, saying, “Since I took office, my goal has been to make air travel more accessible for the common man. Now, affordable food and drink options are starting at Kolkata Airport.”
