Kolkata RG Kar Rape Case
Sealdeh Court’s will pronounce the sentence on Sanjay Rai, the accused in Kolkata RG Kar Rape Case today at 2:45 pm. This case is of RG Kar Hospital where a 31-year-old trainee doctor was raped and murdered. In this case, the accused Sanjay Rai was arrested and a case was filed against him in which Sealdah Court declared accused Sanjay Roy guilty and said that the verdict would be given on Monday. The court will pronounce its verdict on this case today at 2:45 pm.
The decision can be taken under these sections
The Sealdah court will give its verdict in the Kolkata RG Kar Rape Case at 2:45 in which the accused can be punished under three sections. Sanjay Rai has been convicted under sections 64, 66 and 103 of the Indian Penal Code and the accused will be punished under these sections. Let’s know what punishment can be given under which section-
- Under section 64, the culprit can be given a punishment of 10 years or this punishment can be increased to life imprisonment.
- under section 66, the culprit can be given a punishment of 20 years and this punishment can be increased to life imprisonment or the culprit can also be given death penalty.
- under section 103, the culprit can be given death penalty if found guilty.
Victim’s father demanded strict punishment
In Kolkata RG Kar Rape Case the victim’s father has demanded strict punishment for the culprit, although Sanjay Rai had said that – If I had committed the crime, my Rudraksha chain would have been broken, I always wear a Rudraksha chain around my neck, I cannot commit this crime. In response to this, the victim’s father said that the culprit should be given the harshest punishment, for which the court will do proper justice and the culprit will be punished.
Victim’s father accused CBI
In Kolkata RG Kar Rape Case victim’s parents accused CBI and said that CBI is not investigating this case properly, they said that if CBI had investigated properly then there are many more culprits in this case who could have been arrested.
Let us tell you that involvement of four boys and one girl was confirmed in this case, but victim’s parents said that CBI did not investigate properly otherwise they could have been convicted and everyone could have been given severe punishment.
