New Delhi: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, all political parties have begun their preparations. The official clarion call for the UP elections is set to be sounded soon. The religious dimension has also become a major topic of discussion leading up to the polls; the BJP is playing its ‘Hindutva’ card, while the Samajwadi Party (SP) is attempting to counter it by relying on its ‘PDA’ (Pichde, Dalit, Alpsankhyak – Backward classes, Dalits, and Minorities) strategy. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is set to visit Ayodhya next month, in December, to offer prayers to Shri Ram Lalla.
This will mark the first time Akhilesh Yadav visits Ayodhya to offer prayers following the construction of the Ram Mandir. The BJP has frequently targeted him for not visiting the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. This information was shared by SP leader and former minister Pawan Pandey during an event.
Significant update from Pawan Pandey
Former cabinet minister Pawan Pandey, who has been named as the candidate for the Ayodhya Assembly constituency, stated that Akhilesh Yadav will be accompanied by his wife, Dimple Yadav, and their son and daughter. Pandey noted that this visit by Akhilesh Yadav will be religious in nature. He will spend the entire day in Ayodhya; after offering prayers at the Ram Mandir, he will also visit Hanumangarhi.
During his visit, he will meet with sadhus, saints, and mahants (heads of religious institutions) to seek their blessings. Akhilesh Yadav will also partake in prasad alongside the saints. Furthermore, when asked about the visit during a ‘Panchayat AajTak’ session, Pawan Pandey addressed the persistent questions from some quarters regarding why Akhilesh Yadav does not visit the Ram Mandir or Hanumangarhi. He emphasised that Akhilesh Yadav himself visits Hanumangarhi and holds deep reverence for the site.
Akhilesh Yadav to reach Ayodhya on December 12
SP leader Pawan Pandey shared a major update, stating, “I am giving you a significant piece of news: the respected Akhilesh-ji is coming to visit the Ram Mandir.” When asked for the date, he specified December 12. Pandey added that Akhilesh Yadav will arrive in Ayodhya on December 12, accompanied by his family.
His first stop will be the temple located in the Bajrang Gali area of Hanumangarhi, where he will offer prayers. After this, he will visit the Ram Mandir to seek the blessings of Ram Lalla. Dimple Yadav and their two children will also accompany him.
Akhilesh to meet with saints and seers – Pawan Pandey
Upon reaching Ayodhya, while visiting Ram Lalla, Akhilesh Yadav will also meet with various saints and seers. He may visit different maths (monasteries/ashrams), seek the blessings of the saints, and partake in prasad with them. In this way, his entire day in Ayodhya will be spent engaging in religious activities.
During the conversation, Pawan Pandey also mentioned the theft at the Ram Mandir. He stated that Akhilesh Yadav will offer prayers to Ram Lalla and Lord Hanuman, and will seek justice against those responsible for the theft at the Ram Mandir.
