According to information, milk will now be more expensive in Karnataka. Milk consumers will now have to pay more, which will directly impact their pockets. This decision was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, which mandated an increase in milk prices by ₹8 per liter. This new price will come into effect next month, November 1st, 2026, and has been approved. This decision will directly impact millions of consumers in the state, who will be impacted by this inflation. The government, meanwhile, claims that this increase will provide financial relief to milk-producing farmers, but on the other hand, milk consumers will now have to bear the brunt of inflation.
Price increased from Rs. 46 to Rs. 54 per liter
Following a cabinet decision, the price of Nandini brand milk in Karnataka will increase from Rs. 46 to Rs. 54 per liter, a significant blow to the common man’s pocket. This information was officially announced by the state’s Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Krishna Byre Gowda, after a cabinet meeting. He stated that the milk price has been increased by Rs. 8, and this increase is for the benefit of farmers.
Farmers will receive a payment of Rs. 47 per liter
The government has decided to increase the price of milk to improve the economic growth of the price. However, on the other hand, the common man is finding this burden too heavy. Consequently, the impact of inflation will now fall on the common man’s pocket. Overall, after the new system is implemented, farmers will receive a higher purchase price for milk.
Milk producers will now benefit
According to information received, milk producers in the state had been demanding an increase in procurement prices for a long time, and now this matter has been considered and their demands have been met. However, their demand was for an increase of at least 10 rupees per liter. However, after deliberation, the cabinet announced an increase of 8 rupees.
Curd and ghee may also become more expensive
Milk prices are set to increase from November 1st, but the impact of the rising milk prices will not be limited to milk alone; it is expected to impact the prices of curd, ghee, and other dairy products as well. All eyes are now on the new rates, which will come into effect from November 1st.
