Starting tomorrow, October 28th, the prices of all dairy products have been increased by the government. This decision was taken by the Tamil Nadu government. According to the information, the state-owned dairy brand Aavin in Tamil Nadu has increased the prices of many of its dairy products, which will be implemented tomorrow. This means that the new rates will be implemented from October 28th, 2026. Following this decision, all dairy products, including ghee, butter, yogurt, lassi, and sweets, will become more expensive, and customers will now have to pay more to buy them. However, the festival season is currently underway, and this increase is putting a heavy burden on people’s pockets during the festive season.
According to the information, Aavin has increased the prices of approximately 67 dairy products, making all items more expensive than before. The company cites higher raw material costs and higher expenses incurred in purchasing inferior milk as the reason behind this.
New prices for ghee and butter will be implemented
Aavin’s ghee prices have been increased, effective tomorrow. According to reports, the price of 100 ml ghee has increased from ₹80 to ₹95. Furthermore, the price of 200 ml ghee will increase from ₹160 to ₹180, putting a heavy burden on the common man’s pocket.
