New Delhi: A CJP protest has been underway in the capital, Delhi, since this morning, keeping security agencies on high alert. Police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed across every nook and corner of the city. The BJP launched a scathing attack on this CJP protest, terming it a “flop show” by anarchic elements aimed at holding Delhi hostage.

The BJP has alleged a conspiracy to incite arson and riots. Meanwhile, over 500 protesters have been detained in Delhi. Senior CJP leaders Abhijit Deepke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Saurabh Das were detained even before they could disembark from their flight; the Delhi Police has held the three leaders at separate locations. Amidst this, BJP MP Sambit Patra has targeted the CJP and opposition political parties.

Anarchic elements’ ‘flop show’ thwarted: Sambit Patra

BJP MP Sambit Patra targeted the protesters in Delhi, stating that what is happening at Jantar Mantar does not represent the true story of India. He asserted that India is peaceful and the “flop show” by anarchic elements attempting to hold the capital hostage has been thwarted. Patra alleged that there was a deliberate attempt to hold both the country and the capital hostage.

He further stated that attempts were made to incite violence, arson, and clashes during the protest, but these did not succeed. Patra hailed this as a major victory of democracy over mob rule. He noted that while there were attempts to instigate arson, violence, and street clashes, democracy ultimately triumphed over mob rule today. The fact that the situation remains under control proves that the anarchists have failed and their efforts will not succeed.

Patra lashes out at the Congress.

BJP leader Sambit Patra launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, recalling that the party had called for a Bandh (shutdown) just a few days ago. Today, one party has staged a protest, and another has called for a demonstration on the 12th. He remarked that there is a sense of chaos even among the anarchic elements themselves.

Furthermore, Sambit Patra questioned why the opposition did not speak on this matter when they approached the Supreme Court. “Why didn’t you present evidence in court regarding the vote theft you speak of? Why was nothing said about it there?” Patra stated that the story of Jantar Mantar is not the story of India.

It is worth noting that the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ had called for a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar today, demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the SIR. The Delhi Police had begun fortifying the city as early as Friday evening, blocking routes leading to Jantar Mantar with barricades. Police forces were deployed at every nook and corner, and Section 163 was imposed.
