However, the threat of rain persists in various regions due to active cloud formations, with chances of thunderstorms and lightning strikes. Cloud cover has been observed in Western Uttar Pradesh since the morning. Weather conditions have deteriorated significantly in the hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in North India, where rainfall is expected. Rain is also anticipated in the northeastern states. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning across 22 states. Winds could reach speeds of up to 70 km/h in some areas.

The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in 22 states. The department has issued warnings for heavy rain and storms on October 9 for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Warnings for heavy rain have also been issued for Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, and Karnataka. According to the weather department, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely in Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, and Assam.

Heavy Rain in Delhi
According to the IMD, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi over the next three days, starting tomorrow, October 9. Strong storms are also likely. Winds blowing at speeds of 20 km/h are expected during this period. The maximum temperature in Delhi is projected to reach between 33°C and 35°C tomorrow, October 9, while the minimum temperature is likely to range from 22°C to 24°C. Rain Expected in UP
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely in Gorakhpur, Raebareli, Basti, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Ghazipur, Meerut, Sultanpur, and Kanpur. Alerts for thunderstorms and rain have been issued for Saharanpur, Rampur, Sitapur, Fatehpur, Agra, and Ghaziabad. Strong winds reaching speeds of 70 km/h are also anticipated. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 28–30°C tomorrow (October 9), while the minimum temperature is likely to range between 21°C and 23°C.

Weather in Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning for Lakhisarai, Gaya, Munger, Rohtas, Purnia, Buxar, Bhagalpur, and Darbhanga. Additionally, alerts for thunderstorms and rain have been issued for Jehanabad, Begusarai, Saharsa, Sheikhpura, and Madhubani. Winds gusting up to 40 km/h are expected. In Patna, the maximum temperature is likely to be recorded between 28°C and 30°C, and the minimum between 21°C and 23°C tomorrow (October 9).
