Temperatures have dropped in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir due to the rainfall.

The next 24 hours could also prove challenging; the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for torrential rain in several states. Warning of Torrential Rain in 23 States
The IMD has issued an alert for heavy rainfall across 23 states for September 29. Heavy rain is predicted for Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttarakhand. Torrential rain is also expected in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. Alerts for heavy rain have been issued for Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat. Along with the rain, wind speeds are likely to reach 70 to 80 kmph.
Rain Alert for Delhi
The IMD has forecast heavy rain in Delhi between the evening of September 29 and September 30. Wind speeds are expected to range from 40 to 50 kmph. An alert indicates a maximum temperature of 32°C for Delhi on September 29, with the minimum temperature expected to settle around 23°C. Weather Outlook for UP
The IMD forecasts spells of heavy rain in Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Shamli, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Balrampur. Additionally, an alert for heavy downpours has been issued for Jhansi, Bijnor, Barabanki, Bahraich, Hardoi, Bareilly, Mainpuri, Basti, Lucknow, Kanshiram Nagar, Etah, and Bulandshahr. Heavy rainfall is also likely in Kannauj, Fatehpur, Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, and Azamgarh.
Heavy Rain Expected in Bihar
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is likely in the Bihar districts of Siwan, Rohtas, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nawada, and Sitamarhi. Heavy rainfall is also predicted for Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Madhepura, Supaul, Saharsa, Purnia, and Araria. An alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued for Katihar, with strong winds reaching speeds of 50 km/h expected during this period.
Heavy Rain Likely in Jharkhand
Heavy rainfall is expected in Jharkhand over the next two days. Moderate to heavy rain spells may continue in Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, Sahibganj, Pakur, Deoghar, Palamu, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, and Jamshedpur. Strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 km/h are also anticipated. In Ranchi, the maximum temperature is expected to be 29°C and the minimum 21°C tomorrow, September 29.
