New Delhi: Monsoon rains have brought life to a standstill across most parts of India. Rising water levels in rivers nationwide have triggered floods, with floodwaters inundating both agricultural fields and homes. Heavy rainfall has disrupted normal life in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. The onslaught of rain continues in hilly states as well, with little prospect of immediate relief.
Intermittent rainfall in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh is causing difficulties for residents; wind speeds in these regions are expected to reach up to 70 km/h. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warnings for 19 states across the country.

Heavy Rainfall Warning for 19 States
According to the IMD, a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for 19 states for September 13. Warnings have been issued for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, heavy downpours are predicted for Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, and Ladakh. The weather department has also issued alerts for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Odisha, Assam, Gujarat, and Kerala.
Heavy Rain Alert for Delhi
The weather department has issued a heavy rain alert for several parts of Delhi. The IMD has also warned of strong winds expected to reach speeds of 35 to 40 km/h in the capital today, September 13. Delhi is likely to see a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum of 27°C today.
Weather Forecast for UP
According to the IMD, warnings for torrential rain have been issued for Aligarh, Agra, Meerut, Mathura, Moradabad, Mirzapur, Maharajganj, and Ghaziabad. Heavy downpours are also predicted for Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Kanpur, and Chitrakoot. Winds are expected to blow at speeds of up to 55 km/h. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature today (September 13) is expected to be 33°C, with a minimum of 27°C.

Heavy Rain Expected in Bihar Too
The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in Araria, Ara, Gaya, Gopalganj, Samastipur, Siwan, Supaul, and Saran. Additionally, heavy downpours accompanied by thunderstorms are likely in Saharsa, East Champaran, Jehanabad, Vaishali, Purnia, Bhojpur, Munger, Bhagalpur, and Kishanganj. Winds may continue to blow at speeds of 55 km/h. In Patna, the maximum temperature today (September 13) is expected to be 33°C, with a minimum of 27°C.
Rain Expected in UP
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in the MP districts of Betul, Balaghat, Seoni, Damoh, Dewas, Anuppur, Agar-Malwa, Vidisha, and Jhabua. According to the IMD, stormy rainfall is expected in Katni, Mandla, Dewas, and Ratlam. An alert has also been issued for winds blowing at speeds of up to 65 km/h.
