Meanwhile, the UP government has instructed the officials to speed up the relief and rescue work. Taking cognisance of the human loss, animal loss and economic loss caused by the rain, CM Yogi Adityanath himself has directed all senior officers to go to the field and take stock of the situation.
He has also given instructions to provide all possible help to the affected families and to ensure that the common people do not face any inconvenience due to waterlogging. CM Yogi has ordered the officials to assess the damage within 24 hours.

After completion of damage assessment, orders have been given to provide compensation to the affected people within 24 hours. During this time, he has asked the officials to be in constant touch with the affected families and maintain communication with them. He said that all possible assistance should reach the needy families on time.
People should not face problems due to waterlogging.
CM Yogi Adityanath also asked the officials to ensure that due to rain, waterlogging does not persist anywhere for a long time. This should not cause any problem to the common people. Senior officials have been instructed to go to the spot,d see the situation, and take immediate action as needed. The CM has also appealed to the people of the state to be cautious.
Bad roads will be repaired soon.
CM Yogi Adityanath has also held a meeting regarding the pothole-free road campaign amid rains. He has also instructed the officials to immediately make the roads damaged by rain motorable. He said that after the rains end, the roads should be renovated as per the need. CM Yogi clearly said that along with expediting the road repair work, it is important to take full care of the quality also.
681 major roads will be pothole-free before the festive season
CM Yogi Adityanath directed that 681 major roads of the state should be made pothole-free before the upcoming major festivals. In this, it is important to pay special attention to the major routes used during Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Diwali and Chhath. Apart from this, instructions have been given to start repairing the roads leading to educational institutions, hospitals and markets immediately on a priority basis. Due to this, people should not face any problem in commuting.
For your information, let us tell you that in the meeting, the CM also reviewed the status of 4.36 lakh kilometres of roadways of 9 departments of the state. During this, he also instructed the officials to fulfil the target of making a total of 50,000 kilometres of roads pothole-free.
In this, pothole-free work has so far been completed on 5,751 km of routes. CM has asked to speed up work on other roads also. At the same time, Yogi directed the officials that road repair work should not be limited to patchwork only on potholes.
