New Delhi: Amidst preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati is making headlines. Recently, she sent a strong political message by showing her nephew, Akash Anand, the door. Furthermore, Mayawati has adopted an aggressive stance against Akash Anand’s father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth. Having ousted Ashok Siddharth and Akash Anand, Mayawati has now launched a scathing attack on the SP, Congress, and other opposition political parties.

Launching a sharp critique, she raised serious questions regarding their adoption of the colour blue. The BSP supremo also targeted opposition parties over the issue of expelled leaders joining other groups or forming separate organisations. Additionally, she levelled several serious allegations concerning the matter of Ashok Siddharth’s political retirement.

Mayawati Attacks Ashok Siddharth

BSP chief Mayawati lashed out at Ashok Siddharth. She stated that political conspiracies were hatched throughout the night, and when those plans failed to materialise, the announcement of retirement was made. She added that the full details would be revealed at the right time, and party members would be apprised of much more. The question arises: who was stopping Ashok Siddharth?

Mayawati Targets SP

BSP chief Mayawati aimed at the SP. In a post on the social media platform X, she wrote that leaders and workers from the SP, Congress, and other parties have begun adopting the colour associated with the BSP since its inception,n wearing blue scarves and blue clothing. She asserted that merely using the colour blue cannot alter the casteist, narrow-minded, feudal, and capitalist mindset they have harboured for years regarding the Sarvasamaj (society at large), particularly the poor, Dalits, Adivasis, backward classes, and other marginalised sections.

She further remarked that these individuals are neither Ambedkarites at heart nor do they truly embody that identity. Therefore, they must first cleanse their hearts and minds regarding the genuine interests and welfare of the ‘Bahujan Samaj.’ She added that, in any case, these people constantly change their colours like chameleons when it comes to these sections of society; that is, they say one thing but do the exact opposite. Especially regarding the SP’s ‘PDA’ (PDA) initiative, their mindset, tactics, character, and public image have consistently been duplicitous and dishonest, a fact borne out by numerous examples.

Questions raised over accommodating those expelled from the BSP

Former Chief Minister Mayawati remarked that it is worth noting, as is no secret, that individuals expelled from the BSP for reasons such as indiscipline have frequently switched parties for these very same reasons. She further stated that this clearly demonstrates their entirely selfish and opportunistic nature; they cannot truly serve the interests of any party.
