Massive Fire Breaks Out After Explosion In Kaushambi Firecracker Factory, 7 Dead

New Delhi: A heart-wrenching incident has emerged from the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, one that is truly chilling. Seven people died, and several others were injured following an explosion at a firecracker factory in the Mahmoodpur area, under the jurisdiction of the Pipri police station in Kaushambi. The news of the fire caused panic within the administration.

All the injured have been transported via ambulance to the Trauma Centre at SRN Hospital in Prayagraj; the condition of several victims is reported to be critical. The death toll from the explosion may rise further. Administrative teams have arrived at the site, and rescue operations are underway. Approximately five people have been pulled out of the fire, and there are reports that others may still be trapped.

Chaos Ensues After the Explosion

The explosion and subsequent fire at the Kaushambi firecracker factory triggered widespread panic. Seven people lost their lives on the spot. Upon receiving news of the blast, Circle Officer Shivang Singh arrived at the scene with a large police force. The district administration is also actively engaged in relief and rescue operations.

Commenting on the explosion, Kaushambi District Magistrate Amit Pal Sharma stated that ambulances and four fire tenders were dispatched to the site. Rescue operations are ongoing, and five trapped individuals have been rescued. The injured have been sent for treatment and are receiving emergency care; the condition of the critically injured is being closely monitored.

Teams from Two Districts Arrive at the Scene

Upon learning of the fire at the factory, District Magistrate Amit Pal Sharma and police officials rushed to the location. Teams from two districts have been deployed to the site. Preliminary investigations reveal that approximately three houses were gutted in the blaze. A thorough investigation of the firecracker factory is being conducted. An atmosphere of distress and outcry prevails, stretching from the accident site to the hospital.

Yogi Expresses Grief Over Firecracker Factory Explosion

CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the fire that broke out following an explosion at a firecracker factory in Kaushambi. He has expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. He directed officials to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured and to provide all possible assistance to the affected families. Additionally, he wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident. It is worth noting that fire incidents following explosions in firecracker factories have occurred in the past, resulting in the loss of lives of workers.
