Political turmoil has once again erupted in Delhi. Youth Congress workers marched towards the BJP headquarters, protesting against the central government. The Youth Congress says that the government should be held accountable for issues concerning students and youth in the country. The organization alleged that the Home Ministry and the Central Government should be held accountable for the use of excessive force in law and order incidents there. The protest once again demonstrated that issues related to students, youth, and law and order could become a major part of the political debate in the coming days.
Politically, this Youth Congress protest comes at a time when the Congress party is continuously trying to pressure the central government on various issues. Through the street protests, the party is trying to convey to its workers and supporters that it does not want to limit its fight against the government to Parliament.
