Continuous rain in the mountains of North India is triggering landslides, disrupting several routes and causing travel difficulties. A drop in temperature has been recorded in many parts of Uttar Pradesh due to heavy rainfall.
Rain has also made the weather pleasant in several areas of Bihar and Jharkhand. Meanwhile, water levels in various rivers across the country are rising above the danger mark, with flood-like conditions prevailing in some regions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warnings for several states and urged people to exercise caution due to the risk of lightning strikes.
Weather Outlook for Delhi
Weather conditions in the national capital, Delhi, have worsened again. The IMD has forecast heavy rain for Delhi on August 24, accompanied by winds blowing at speeds of 50 to 60 kmph.
Weather Outlook for UP
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall across various parts of Uttar Pradesh. Many areas in Eastern UP may experience rain starting this evening. The IMD has forecast heavy rain for Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Aligarh, and Agra on August 24. Additionally, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely in Jhansi, Mathura, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Badaun, Azamgarh, Etawah, Lalitpur, Varanasi, Mahoba, Sonbhadra, and Bijnor.

Heavy Rain Forecast for Bihar
According to the Meteorological Department, a heavy rain warning has been issued for August 24 for Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan, Patna, Gaya, West Champaran, and East Champaran. Rain is also expected in Jehanabad, Buxar, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, and Saharsa. Heavy rainfall is forecast for Supaul, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Lakhisarai, and Begusarai.
Weather in the mountains
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is also being witnessed in the mountainous regions. The IMD has issued a warning for heavy rain on August 24 in the Himachal Pradesh districts of Kullu, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Kinnaur, Solan, Bilaspur, and Lahaul-Spiti. Heavy rain warnings have also been issued for Almora, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. Spells of rain are also likely in Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Champawat, and Tehri Garhwal.
Rain Expected in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for thunderstorms and rain on August 24. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Jhalawar, Baran, Bikaner, Kota, Jaipur, Churu, Ajmer, and Udaipur. Additionally, rain is likely in Bharatpur, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Karauli, Sri Ganganagar, Chittorgarh, Hanumangarh, Pali, and Rajsamand. Storms accompanied by rain are also expected in the Madhya Pradesh districts of Mandla, Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Seoni, Khargone, Sidhi, Alirajpur, Dhar, and Gwalior.
