New Delhi: All political parties have geared up for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. A war of words is currently underway between UP CM Yogi Adityanath and SP chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav. On Sunday, CM Yogi Adityanath targeted the Samajwadi Party, raising serious questions about its track record regarding the education system.

He also highlighted the development work undertaken by his administration, claiming that significant improvements have been made to the state’s education system under his leadership. CM Yogi launched a scathing attack on Akhilesh Yadav, accusing him of promoting dynastic politics and neglecting the poor. Details of his remarks are provided below.

Transforming Dilapidated Buildings – Yogi

Speaking at an event, CM Yogi Adityanath criticised the previous SP government and enumerated his own government’s development achievements. He stated that his administration has worked to replace old, dilapidated buildings with new ones and has improved the overall system.

He further noted that some individuals are sharing photos and videos of old, crumbling buildings on social media. Taking a dig at the situation, the CM remarked that the very structures being filmed were built during the tenures of the people at whose behest these videos are being made.

He asserted that the new buildings constructed under his government symbolise the education system and are laying the foundation for a better, cheating-free educational environment. Yogi Adityanath added that the education system has played a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities and skills of Uttar Pradesh’s youth.

Poverty Not on SP’s Agenda

CM Yogi Adityanath stated that poverty was never an issue on the Samajwadi Party’s agenda. He alleged that the SP exploited the public to serve its own family interests. He accused the party of allowing the encroachment of land belonging to the poor and noted that women and girls were unsafe during their tenure. He further pointed out that before 2017, poor children lacked even basic amenities, whereas now they are being provided with uniforms, shoes, and sweaters.

Taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav, Yogi mentioned that he himself works approximately 18 hours a day. Plans are constantly being discussed and subsequently implemented. ‘Babua’ used to wake up at 12 PM, get ready by 2 PM, and head to the gym in the evening; given this routine, where would he have found the time for the state’s development? Aiming at Akhilesh, he remarked that while the previous government had no time for the state, the current government devotes its entire time to it.
