New Delhi: A major administrative reshuffle has been carried out in Bihar for the first time since Samrat Chaudhary took the oath of office. In a significant move, the state government transferred 23 IAS officers late Saturday night. Details regarding these transfers were released via a notification from the General Administration Department.
Transfers have been made for officials holding positions such as Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), and Municipal Commissioner across several districts. The transferred officials belong to the 2022, 2023, and 2024 IAS batches. The Bihar government has executed a major administrative reshuffle. Shreya Shree has been appointed as DDC-cum-Chief Executive Officer of Khagaria Zila Parishad; Garima Lohia has been moved from Barh SDO to Municipal Commissioner of Darbhanga Municipal Corporation; Niruddh Pandey has been moved from Danapur SDO to Municipal Commissioner of Purnia Municipal Corporation; and Tushar Kumar has been moved from Purnia SDO to DDC of Madhubani Zila Parishad.
Additionally, Pradhyumn Singh Yadav has been moved from Katihar SDO to Director of the Directorate of Food Processing (Industries Department); Akanksha Anand from Muzaffarpur West SDO to Sasaram DDC; Anjali Sharma from Areraj SDO to Director (Disability) in the Social Welfare Department; and Rohit Kardam from Naugachia SDO to Kaimur DDC.
Shipra Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has been moved from Ara Sadar SDO to Jamui DDC; Dr Neha Kumari from Sasaram SDO to Katihar DDC; and Krishna Chandra Gupta from Kahalgaon SDO to Inspector General in the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department.

Notably, in this major reshuffle, Krishna Joshi has been appointed as the new Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Barh, while Kashish Bakshi has been entrusted with the charge of Patna City. The government has directed all transferred officers to assume their new posts promptly. Earlier, on August 18, the Bihar government had transferred 17 IPS officers, including the Superintendents of Police (SPs) for Bhojpur and Siwan.
