New Delhi: Former BJP National President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda has been discharged from AIIMS Hospital after a week-long stay due to ill health. He has now fully recovered. His discharge on Wednesday has brought great joy to his supporters; he was released following an angioplasty procedure.

Upon his discharge, J.P. Nadda expressed his gratitude to his well-wishers. He had been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on August 13 after his health deteriorated and had been undergoing treatment there. AIIMS had been providing daily health bulletins regarding his condition. In total, he remained hospitalised for six days.

What J.P. Nadda said upon discharge

After being discharged from AIIMS, Delhi, Union Minister J.P. Nadda thanked all his admirers. Writing on the social media platform X, he stated, “I am happy to share that I have been discharged from AIIMS following an angioplasty. I am healthy and doing absolutely fine.” He further extended his heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at AIIMS for their excellent care and dedication.

Nadda’s message to well-wishers

As he left AIIMS Hospital, J.P. Nadda also expressed gratitude to his well-wishers. He wrote on X, “I also thank all my well-wishers for their prayers, phone calls, and messages during my hospital stay. Your support means a lot to me.”

J.P. Nadda had been admitted to AIIMS, Delhi, on August 13 following a health issue. He remained hospitalised for six days while undergoing treatment. He underwent an angioplasty on August 17; he has now recovered and returned home from the hospital.

When is angioplasty required?

Union Minister J.P. Nadda, 65, underwent an angioplasty procedure. Angioplasty is a procedure used to clear blockages in the blood vessels supplying the heart. Such blockages often occur when fat accumulates in the arteries, restricting the flow of blood to the heart.

In such situations, doctors may recommend angioplasty. Coronary angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure used to open blocked heart arteries; it is also known as Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). The accumulation of plaque in the arteries can significantly reduce blood flow, potentially leading to issues such as chest pain.

JP Nadda played a key role during the CJP agitation

It is worth noting that when the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ launched a protest against the NEET paper leak, the central government fielded JP Nadda to mediate with the students. He succeeded in facilitating coordination between the students and the government across three rounds of talks.
