The Left Front held protests at 20 locations in Tripura, protesting against the government over 11 demands.
On Monday, the Left Front launched a ‘Jail Bharo’ protest across the state of Tripura. In this demonstration held at about 20 different places, party leaders and workers raised issues related to employment, livelihood and civil rights. The Left Front accused the BJP-led government of ignoring the problems of the common people.
The protesters raised their voice against the government on a total of 11 demands. He says that the government should work more seriously on issues related to employment and income. Left Front leaders alleged that people in the state are facing many everyday problems, but the government is not paying adequate attention to them.
During the ‘Jail Bharo’ movement, the protesters raised slogans against the government policies and tried to put pressure on the administration regarding their demands.
Employment and livelihood issues at the center
Employment and livelihood issues were central to the Left Front’s demonstration. Party leaders said that providing adequate employment opportunities to the youth of the state should be the priority of the government.
The protesters also raised the issue of economic problems of the common people. He said that inflation and employment related challenges are directly affecting the families.
Apart from this, many issues related to rights were also included in the movement. The Left Front demanded the government to negotiate on these demands and take concrete steps towards a solution.
BJP government accused of ‘divisive politics’
Left Front leaders accused the BJP government of engaging in divisive politics in the state. He says that the government should pay more attention to the problems of the public than political issues.
Left parties alleged that not enough work was being done on issues like employment, livelihood and rights. According to him, the priority of the government should be to solve the problems of the common people.
However, it remains to be seen what response the BJP government will give to these allegations. The political conflict between the two parties is already ongoing in Tripura politics.

Attempt to pressure the government with 11 demands
