The Delhi Cabinet has approved a bill that provides monthly financial assistance to women. Efforts have been underway for a long time to introduce the “Lakshmi Yojana” for women’s economic empowerment. Now, this scheme has received the Cabinet’s approval. Under this “Lakshmi Yojana,” the Delhi government will transfer ₹2,500 to all women’s accounts every month.
The significant gift is that the first installment of this Lakshmi Yojana will be given to all women on Rakshabandhan. This is being seen as a gift on Rakshabandhan. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta herself announced this scheme. She also explained that a special portal has been created to ensure complete transparency. This portal will be launched on August 1st. We have fulfilled the promise we made to our sisters.” She informed that she had implemented the Lakshmi Yojana in Delhi. This scheme will benefit all women in Delhi, providing financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month.

Who is eligible to benefit from the Lakshmi Yojana?
- To apply for the Lakshmi Yojana, you must be between 21 and 60 years of age to benefit from this targeted scheme.
- The woman or her family must have been living in Delhi for at least 10 years, meaning they must be permanent residents of Delhi for 10 years.
- To benefit from this scheme, the family’s annual income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh.
- If more than two women in your family can apply, only the oldest woman will receive the benefit.
