New Delhi: The weather across North India has undergone a significant shift once again. Since the early hours of Saturday, cloud cover has been observed across various regions. Furthermore, light rain and strong winds in several areas have provided residents with relief from the scorching heat. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall in most parts of South India has disrupted normal life but offered respite from the heat.
Heavy rains are also lashing various parts of the Northeastern states, leading to a worsening situation. Light rain in the Delhi-NCR region has brought relief from the sultry, humid heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for heavy rainfall across several states. Details regarding the weather update are provided below.

Traffic Disrupted by Landslides in Several Areas
Continuous rainfall in hilly regions is triggering landslides. The IMD has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in mountainous states such as Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Incidents of landslides resulting from this weather have led to the disruption of several routes.
The monsoon is currently subdued across the plains of North India, as well as in the southern and western regions of the country. Residents of Delhi-NCR are grappling with oppressive, humid heat. The IMD has forecast good rainfall for the coming week.

Likelihood of Rain in Bihar, Bengal, and Odisha
The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall for Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha, urging residents to exercise caution. The Meteorological Department anticipates a spell of heavy rain in Bihar between July 20 and July 23, with forecasts indicating the possibility of torrential downpours in some areas on July 19 and 20.
