New Delhi: The monsoon is currently wreaking havoc across most parts of India. It is now fully active in North India, causing water levels in rivers, drains, and ponds to rise significantly. Rainfall in the mountains has led to increased water levels in rivers such as the Yamuna, Ganga, and Ramganga.
Heavy rainfall lashed various parts of Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand late last night, bringing the pace of daily life to a complete standstill. Gujarat is also experiencing heavy rainfall.
Temperatures are dropping in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh due to the rain, and there is no immediate respite in sight. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warnings for several states across the country. Details regarding the weather forecast for specific regions are provided below.

Heavy Rainfall Expected in Uttar Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for monsoon rains across various parts of Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rainfall alerts have been issued for the Purvanchal districts of Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Basti. Additionally, warnings for heavy downpours have been issued for Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, and Lakhimpur Kheri.
Alerts for intense rainfall have also been issued for Sitapur, Hardoi, Barabanki, Sultanpur, and areas adjacent to Ayodhya. The department has issued rainfall warnings for Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Farrukhabad, and Kannauj. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is likely in Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Raebareli, and Amethi.
Weather in Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning across various parts of Bihar. Additionally, heavy rain is expected in Khagaria, Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, and Purnia. The IMD has forecast heavy rain for Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Siwan, and Bhojpur. An alert for heavy rain has also been issued for Nawada, Rohtas, Arwal, Gaya, Lakhisarai, Nalanda, and Aurangabad, accompanied by a warning of winds reaching speeds of 70 km/h.

Rain Likely in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
According to the IMD, rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected in Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, and Sirmaur. Alerts for thunderstorms and heavy rain have been issued for Shimla, Sirmaur, Mandi, Bilaspur, and Solan.
In Manali, the temperature today (July 11) is expected to range from a minimum of 11°C to a maximum of 16°C. Meanwhile, warnings for rain accompanied by thunderstorms have been issued for Rishikesh, Haridwar, Nainital, Bageshwar, Almora, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar, and Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.
Rain to Cause Trouble in These States
According to the Meteorological Department, warnings for torrential rain have been issued for 15 states. Heavy rain alerts are in place for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan. Rain could also create difficulties in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. Spells of rain are also expected in Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
