Trust Meeting

New Delhi: Major decisions were taken at the Ram Mandir Trust meeting in Ayodhya. The resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have been accepted. Additionally, a demand has been raised for strict action against all those accused. Specific rules will also be formulated to prevent such activities in the future. A committee has also been constituted during the meeting to appoint a CEO.

This committee will comprise three members who will select the Trust’s CEO. The members include Judge Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi, and retired Lieutenant General Havade. All eyes are now set on the next meeting of the Ram Mandir Trust, scheduled for July 22, 2026.

Govind Giri Shares Key Information

Following the Ram Mandir Trust meeting on Monday evening, the Trust’s Treasurer, Govind Dev Giri, shared significant information. He stated that the next Trust meeting would be held on July 22, by which time the SIT’s final report would also be made public. A new trustee will also be appointed during that meeting.

He further stated that the Trust has accepted the resignations submitted by Champat Rai and Anil Mishra. He remarked that the atmosphere surrounding the temple is a cause for concern, describing the situation as extraordinary. The meeting originally scheduled for July 11, 2026, was conducted today instead.

Attendees included Nrityagopal Das Ji Maharaj, new trustee Krishna Mohan Ji, Collector Shashank Tripathi Ji, and Dinesh Chandra Ji Maharaj of the Nirmohi Akhara. Parasharan Ji, who was instrumental in the Trust’s formation, attended virtually. Govind Dev Giri expressed deep sorrow that offerings were being stolen at the very Ram Mandir for which people had made immense sacrifices without hesitation, calling it a shameful situation for them.

Who Was Entrusted with the Responsibility?

During the Ram Mandir Trust meeting, some office-bearers expressed disagreement regarding the acceptance of Champat Rai’s resignation. However, Parasharan stated that the resignation could be deemed effective automatically. Meanwhile, Krishna Mohan has been entrusted with the responsibilities of the trust pending the final report from the SIT. An official statement is also awaited. Krishna Mohan is a member of the trust. Notably, Champat Rai held the position of General Secretary within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Trust Meeting Concludes

For context, the Ram Mandir Trust meeting lasted for approximately three hours. All eyes were fixed on this meeting. The Trust acknowledged the lapses and decided to take comprehensive measures to rectify them.

SIT Seeks Remand of Accused

A court hearing regarding the request for a seven-day remand is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:00 PM. Everyone is now awaiting the final report, which may potentially implicate some prominent figures.
