Petrol Diesel Rate 1

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices across the country have remained stable for quite some time. Previously, global prices for these fuels had risen due to intense tensions between the United States and Iran in the Middle East. Since then, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel. On Tuesday morning, Indian oil companies did not make any adjustments to petrol and diesel prices. If you are planning to fill up your fuel tank, there is no need to wait. We are providing a breakdown of petrol and diesel prices by city, which should clear up any confusion you may have.

Check prices in various cities, including Delhi.

In the national capital, New Delhi, the price of petrol is ₹102.12 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹95.20 per litre. In Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, petrol is priced at ₹111.21 per litre, and diesel is at ₹97.83 per litre. In Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, petrol is priced at ₹107.76 per litre, and diesel is at ₹99.55 per litre. In Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, petrol is priced at ₹113.51 per litre, while diesel is at ₹99.82 per litre.

In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, petrol is priced at ₹111.68 per litre, and diesel is at ₹99.56 per litre. In Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, petrol is priced at ₹116.15 per litre, while diesel is at ₹104.23 per litre.

When are the prices updated?

For your information, oil companies review petrol and diesel prices across the country on a daily basis. New prices are implemented every day at 6:00 AM. Fuel prices depend on factors such as the price of crude oil in the international market, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, the central government’s excise duty, state governments’ VAT, and other taxes. This is why the prices of petrol and diesel vary across different states and cities.

Falling Crude Oil Prices

Amidst volatility in the international market, a decline in crude oil prices is being observed. Early Tuesday, the downward trend in US oil prices continued. The global benchmark, Brent crude, fell by 7.6% to close at $104.77 per barrel. This occurred as traders assessed signs of progress toward a potential end to the conflict. These developments took place one day before the US midterm elections. Meanwhile, on Monday, the Bloomberg Dollar Gauge weakened, while long-term Treasury bonds performed well. A few months ago, crude oil prices had risen significantly.
