The POCSO court designated in the Chuchura court of Hooghly district in West Bengal has convicted 42-year-old Ashok Singh for the rape and murder of a 5-year-old girl and sentenced him to death.
Let us tell you that this incident happened on 24 November 2024 when the accused Ashok Singh called the girl with him on the pretext of giving her chocolate and raped and killed her. After the girl’s body was recovered, the accused was arrested on the same day. It has been 55 days since this incident, in which the POCSO court on Friday sentenced the culprit to death.
27 witnesses were examined
27 witnesses have been examined in the rape case of a 5 year old minor girl in West Bengal. In this case, the culprit was arrested on the same day after the crime and within 14 days, a chargesheet was filed against the accused.
