A drop in temperature was recorded in several parts of South India following late-night rains, making the weather pleasant. Temperatures also fell in the northeastern states due to rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. In the mountainous regions of North India, specifically Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir,r snowfall has caused temperatures to drop, bringing a chill to the air.

Heavy Rain Alert for 17 States
According to the IMD, alerts for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms have been issued for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. Heavy rain alerts are also in place for Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha. Additionally, heavy rain with thunderstorms is forecast for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Andhra Pradesh, where strong winds reaching 60 km/h are also expected.

The IMD has issued an alert for moderate to heavy rain in Delhi on October 6. Winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h are anticipated. The maximum temperature in the capital is expected to reach 36°C today (October 6), while the minimum temperature is likely to be around 24°C.
Heavy Rain Expected in UP
The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for Meerut, Ghaziabad… A ‘yellow alert’ for rain and thunderstorms has been issued for Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Ghazipur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Gonda, Basti, Deoria, Kushinagar, and Gorakhpur. Winds are expected to blow at speeds of 30 km/h. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature today (October 6) could reach 31°C, while the minimum temperature may settle at 23°C.
Weather forecast for Bihar
The IMD has issued a rain warning for Bhojpur, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Madhubani, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Munger, and Bhagalpur. Additionally, a heavy rain alert has been issued for Gaya, Patna, and Buxar. In Patna, the maximum temperature today (October 6) is likely to reach 30°C, with a minimum of 23°C.

Weather forecast for MP
According to the Meteorological Department, warnings for rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning have been issued for Chhindwara, Balaghat, Damoh, Jabalpur, and Shahdol. Rain is also expected in Chhatarpur, Seoni, Katni, Mandla, Bhopal, and Indore. In Bhopal, the maximum temperature today (October 6) is expected to be 33°C, and the minimum is likely to be 21°C.
Rain in Rajasthan
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in the Rajasthan districts of Bhilwara, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, and Alwar. Gusty winds blowing at 20 km/h are also anticipated. In Jaipur, the maximum temperature today (October 6) could reach 35°C, with a minimum of 22°C.
