New Delhi: Monsoon rains have brought the pace of life to a grinding halt across many parts of India. Heavy downpours in various regions have led to a drop in temperatures, offering people relief from the heat. However, the rain has disrupted the hectic daily lives of residents in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and the Delhi-NCR region.
There is currently no sign of respite from the rain in the northeastern states, while heavy rainfall continues in the southern states as well. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms across 13 states. Details regarding the weather forecast for these areas are provided below.

Heavy Rain Warning for 13 States
According to the IMD, an alert for torrential rain has been issued for 13 states on August 25. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra. Heavy rain is also predicted for Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Continuous rainfall raises the risk of waterlogging in low-lying areas, flash floods, landslides, and traffic disruptions. A low-to-moderate risk of flash floods has been forecast for several districts in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and eastern Madhya Pradesh up to 11:30 AM on August 25.
Weather Forecast for Delhi
The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in the national capital, Delhi, today. Generally cloudy skies are expected throughout the day on August 25. Light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in several areas from morning through afternoon, with the possibility of very light to light rain continuing into the evening. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be around 25 degrees Celsius. Light rain is also likely in Delhi on August 26 and 27.
