Violence broke out on Monday in the Aurangzeb controversy, starting with protests by right-wing group Vishwa Hindu Parishad against the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb, in which two people were injured.

Later in the afternoon, the right-wing organization protested and burnt the holy book, after which violence spread in the area. Two people were reported injured in the violence, after which the violence spread to Kotwali and Ganeshpeth.
Police fired tear gas shells

After violence broke out in Aurangzeb dispute case, police fired tear gas shells considering the seriousness of the situation and Section 144 has been imposed in the concerned area, while police has appealed to the people not to come out of their houses unless there is some urgent work. After this, police response team and CRPF and riot control team have been called by the police to control the situation.
Complaint lodged for burning of holy book

After this incident in Aurangzeb dispute case, a report of burning of holy book was lodged in Ganeshpeth police station in the evening after which anger spread among the people of Muslim community and they started reaching Ganeshpeth, Kotwali and Mahal. After this, when the crowd increased, police fired tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
CM Fadnavis said do not pay attention to rumors

Statement of Deputy Commissioner of Police Archit Chandak
Nagpur’s Deputy Commissioner of Police Archit Chandak while giving his statement in the Aurangzeb controversy case said that in view of the disturbance in the area, we had to show force, for which tear gas was used and some of our policemen were also injured in this clash. After this, Section 144 has been imposed in the area. The Deputy Commissioner of Police asked the people to maintain peace.
