Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is set to make its mark in the Indian automotive landscape with the upcoming launch of the VF6 electric SUV. Unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, the VF6 is poised to compete with established players like the BYD Atto 3, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona Electric. With its stylish design, advanced features, and competitive pricing, the VinFast VF6 is set to be a strong contender in the Indian electric SUV market. VinFast VF6 Design and Features
The VinFast VF6 boasts a modern and dynamic design, featuring a closed off grille, vertically stacked triangular projector headlights with LED DRLs, and body cladding throughout. Its sleek profile is complemented by flush mounted roof rails, a shark fin antenna, an integrated rear spoiler, wraparound LED taillights connected by an LED light bar, and a rear skid plate for added flair.Inside, the VF6 offers a premium cabin with a dual tone brown and black color scheme, soft touch materials, and a driver focused center console. The 5 seater configuration includes a 12.9 inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a heads up display (HUD), a panoramic sunroof, and a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.
VinFast VF6 Performance and Range
The VF6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor producing up to 204 PS (201 bhp) and 310 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of up to 400 km on a full charge, making it suitable for daily commutes and weekend getaways.
VinFast VF6 Charging capabilities
Level 2 AC and Level 3 DC fast charging, ensuring convenience for users. The VF6 supports over the air (OTA) updates, keeping the vehicle’s software up to date with the latest features and improvements.
VinFast VF6 Pricing and Launch Timeline
VinFast plans to launch the VF6 in India in the second half of 2025. The expected price range is between ₹18 lakh and ₹24 lakh (ex showroom), depending on the variant and features. The VF6 will be available in two variants, Eco and Plus.
