Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has suddenly resigned from his post. On Monday, on the first day of the monsoon session, he presided over the House and handled everything well throughout the day, but after this he suddenly resigned. He cited his ill health as the reason for his resignation. He has submitted his resignation to President Murmu under Article 67 (A) of the Constitution due to health and medical reasons, after which there is a stir in all political corridors.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar wrote a letter addressed to President Draupadi Murmu in which he wrote that “Giving priority to my health, following medical advice, I resign from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect. Apart from this, he has also thanked the President and also thanked the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers for their support and guidance. He said that I am grateful to the MPs and all the members for the respect they have given me.”

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was the 14th Vice President of India. He took oath as Vice President in 2022 and his term was till 2027 but he resigned from his post in the middle of it. He also participated in the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha on Monday and conducted it smoothly.

The Vice President was born on 18 May 1951. He was born in a simple farmer family and he also completed his early education in the village school. After this he got a scholarship and he went to Chittorgarh Sainik School to study. He took a BSc Honors degree from Maharaja College, Jaipur and practiced law from Rajasthan University, he was a well-known lawyer of Rajasthan High Court.

After this he became a member of Rajasthan Bar Counseling in 1979 and became a senior advocate in Rajasthan High Court on 27 March 1990 and in 1987 he became the President of the High Court Bar Association. He was brought into politics by Devi Lal where he contested from hometown Jhunjhunu, after which Devi Lal became the Deputy Prime Minister and Jagdeep Dhankhar was given the post of minister at the Center and in 2022 he was given the post of Vice President which he handled well.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from his post due to ill health. He recently underwent angioplasty at AIIMS in Delhi and the doctors had asked him to take special care of his health. A motion to impeach him was also presented, which was rejected by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh.
