UPI New Rules
UPI New Rules, At present, people use UPI the most for making payments, whether it is to do big shopping or any small purchase, UPI is used to make payments everywhere. In such a situation, this news is useful for UPI users because the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) issued a circular on May 21 and said that now UPI users will be able to check their balance 50 times a day to check the balance. Apart from this, to avoid checking the balance repeatedly, banks will also have to send the account balance to the users after each transaction.
Changes in the rules of UPI
In the UPI New Rules, from 31 July 2025, you will be able to check your balance only 50 times from each app to check UPI balance and to ensure that the customer does not have to check the balance again and again, all banks will have to send the account balance details after the transaction is successful.
Apart from this, in UPI New Rules ,there will be some changes in UPI transactions from 30 June 2025, in which the users who make payment using UPI, till now, on making payment, see the same name on the mobile app which we have entered from the phone, but now the real name and photo will be visible, so that the fraud from UPI can be reduced, now as soon as you scan the QR code or enter the mobile number of the person to whom you want to transfer money, you will see only the real mobile number of the person registered with the bank.
NPCI issued a circular
In UPI New Rules ,National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has issued a new circular in which it has been asked to fix the correct usage and limits on the 10 most used application programming interfaces on the UPI network, which includes important things like auto payment balance inquiry and checking transaction status. According to NPCI, repeated requests increase the load on the UPI network, due to which the system may go down, so it has been decided to change the rules.
These rules will change from August 1, 2025
- In UPI New Rules, from August 1, 2025, UPI users will be able to check their balance 50 times on each app, that is, if you use two apps, then you will be able to check the balance 50 times on each app.
- In the new rule, the limit for viewing the linked account list has been made 25 times, that is, on the UPI app, you will be able to see the list of bank accounts linked to your number only 25 times in a day and it will be valid only after the user selects the bank and gives consent.
- A delay of 90 seconds will be made mandatory on transaction status check. To check the status of the transaction, API call has to be made only after 90 seconds and transaction status can be checked maximum three times in 2 hours.
- In UPI, now automatic debit will be processed only in non-peak hours. All these rules will reduce the load on the UPI network.
