On Wednesday, he stated that both of the countries have been trying to rebuild their ties after the galwan valley clash in 2020. the conflict has caused tension between the two nations, affecting their diplomatic and economic relations. Dr.Jaishankar emphasized that tense relations are not beneficial for either country. he also highlighted the need for stability and peaceful engagement to move forward. According to him, cooperation and mutual understanding are important for maintaining regional peace. India and china, both major global players, must work towards resolving their differences through dialogue.

Jaishankar’s statement comes at a time when both nations continue efforts to ease tensions along the border. According to the details, recently the think tank asia society organized the session, where Dr.Jaishankar was speaking at that session. during the discussion, he said that india and china may continue to have differences in the future, but these should not turn into the disputes. referring to the 2020 galwan valley clash, jaishankar said, “what happened in 2020 was very unfortunate for our relationship. it was just a conflict; it was a violation of written agreements. we moved far away from the agreed terms. On the session, jaishankar stated that while the issues is not fully resolved, some progress has been made, he noted that since october last year, there have been some improvements in India-China relations. He also stated that India has been working on different aspects of the reltionship. jaihankar has met his chinese counterpart several times, and other senior indian officials have also engaged in discussions with chinese authorities.
